Free-agent linebacker Bryan Thomas was in court Tuesday after another alleged domestic violence incident with his wife last month, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

The article stated the hearing was postponed, but Family Court Judge Thomas Critchley issued a ruling that "so upset Thomas’ wife that her loud outburst afterward in a courthouse hallway could be heard up a flight of stairs." According to the Daily Record (N.J.), Critchley had granted Thomas unsupervised visitation with the couple's three sons after an alleged assault in mid-March resulted in the former Jets linebacker moving out of their Randolph, N.J. home.

This isn't the first incident involving the couple.

In February, Thomas was placed on probation in criminal court after an alleged assault  on his wife back on Oct. 31. Thomas -- who had been the longest-tenured Jet prior to the start of free agency -- had been charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly pushed his wife with a kitchen chair, punched her in the stomach and grabbed her by the neck. He also was in possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Thomas appeared in state Superior Court in Morris County on Feb. 11 and was placed on probation and into a 24-month pre-trial intervention program. At the time, his lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, told the Associated Press that if Thomas completed the program successfully, the charges would be dismissed and the record sealed.

Thomas, 33, recorded 33.5 sacks during his 11-year tenure with the Jets. He played in 12 games in 2012 due to a torn pectoral muscle. Near the end of last season, Thomas told reporters he was mulling retirement.
