LaDainian Tomlinson seemed certain he knew the players behind the anonymous Tim Tebow bashing -- Antonio Cromartie and Bart Scott.

But the former Jets running back, turned NFL Network analyst, said Sunday that he was just "speculating on things" and wasn't calling out those two players, per se.

“I was just suggesting who it may be," Tomlinson said on the network's "First on the Field" show. "I don’t know for sure who it was. I know Bart Scott is an outspoken guy and he is right: he does typically put his name on things, as does Cromartie.

"Listen, I was just speculating on things. I’m not sure who said it but I know there is a problem and that there has been one for years."

Scott called out Tomlinson in the New York Post, calling his ex-mate "out of line."

“That can’t be farther from the truth," the veteran linebacker said of LT's initial comments. "One thing about me is I ain’t ever hid behind s--- that I’ve ever said. I’m not afraid to put my name to it, go to a person and say it to them.

"...LaDainian is out of line in thinking I have that type of character. I don’t know what he believes I showed to him when he was here. If anything, I hope I showed him I was a leader and I never try to be a distraction.”

On Sunday, Tomlinson tried to point out that losing-inspired locker room issues has been a pervasive problem within the Jets organization.

“Whenever you lose in New York, everyone wants to know what the problem is," he said. "The problem is too many people can talk in that locker room. Back in the days when you [to Sterling Sharpe] played, there were only certain guys who could say something. One message. Now there are too many guys who have a voice, too many guys who speak to the press ‘anonymously.’ At this point, this locker room is just falling apart.”
