Nothing but Jets

New York Jets news, commentary and insider info from beat writer Kimberley A. Martin.

Will Jets re-sign Braylon Edwards?

Mark Sanchez had plenty of success with wide receiver Braylon Edwards during their two seasons together in 2009-10, and Edwards returned to the Jets for three games last season.

Could another reunion be in the works?

Maybe yes ... maybe no.

On a conference call with Jets' season ticket holders, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was asked if the team had any plans to re-sign Edwards. His answer was vague, at best.

"We are evaluating all players that are out there," he said. "Tthere are certainly possibilities for any player out there that’s available. Sometimes the easiest thing is the best thing ... All players out there are certainly available. I'm sure [GM] John [Idzik] has his eye on many players out there we can possibly acquire."
