CORTLAND – Jets owner Woody Johnson offered his congratulations to Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells Thursday via Twitter.

“Unable to be in Canton but sending my congratulations to #PFHOF13 inductee Bill Parcells,” he wrote. “On behalf of the New York Jets, thanks to Coach Parcells for his contributions to our team and to the NFL. #PFHOF13”

During a conference call last month, Parcells – who won two Super Bowls with the Giants -- said his best coaching performance came in 1999 when he lead the Jets to an 8-8 finish.
