Had Tim Tebow not been traded to the Jets, he’d be playing in the NFL right now, said Giants co-owner Steve Tisch.

“I feel badly for the guy,” Tisch told TMZ Sunday night in Los Angeles. “Had another team picked him up after the Broncos, maybe he’d have a career. I think him going from the Broncos to the Jets was not in anybody's best interest.”

Jets coach Rex Ryan speaks to the media

In his first two seasons as head coach, Rex Ryan’s hands were all over this Jets defense. But in Year 3 he scaled back, preferring to do only “some” of the defensive play-calling instead of all of it.

But Ryan will be a bystander no more.

The Jets coach reiterated Saturday that he’ll run all of the walkthroughs, install all of the defenses and make all of the defensive play-calls during...

Jets center Nick Mangold thinks the offensive line

Around this time last year, Rex Ryan was pulling Quinton Coples off the practice field for fear of his first-round rookie getting hurt on account of the uncoordinated offensive linemen at rookie minicamp.

But now Ryan likes what he sees from his O-line.

“It looks way better than it has the last couple of years,” the coach said with a laugh, referring to his comment last year that he...

What are the odds the Jets’ new quarterback winds up working with the team’s old general manager?

One in five, it seems.

Long before he was a first-round draft pick, Sheldon Richardson decided he wasn’t going to let his size hold him back.

“I was always the chubby kid in class that everybody picked on,” said the 6-3, 294-pound rookie defensive tackle. “I was. And I played with a chip on my shoulder. I still feel like I’m the same kid.
