Namath: Sanchez better, but Tebow brings lots of positives

Less than two months ago, Joe Namath ripped the Jets for their stunning trade for Tim Tebow -- a move the Hall of Fame quarterback believed sent the wrong message to their young starter Mark Sanchez.
Well, Namath has again changed his tune. Again.
The man who led the Jets to their one and only Super Bowl title, said Tuesday night that he fully supports the Tebow trade, adding that "whatever...

Jets decline 'Hard Knocks' offer

Sorry fans, but the Jets are out of "Hard Knocks" contention.
A league source confirmed Friday that the team was approached a few weeks by HBO to be featured on their training camp reality TV show, but declined the invitation.
Their reasoning makes sense.
The Jets also declined in 2009 because it was Rex Ryan's first season as head coach. This year, their rationale was...
Sanchez: Tebow trade a savvy business move

After Thursday’s media day following OTA conditioning, Mark Sanchez was up early Friday morning for a radio interview with Boomer and Carton on WFAN. The Jets quarterback spoke for nearly 30 minutes, discussing everything from Tim Tebow (and the perceived distractions that come with his arrival to Florham Park), to his confidence in right tackle Wayne Hunter and his reconnection with wide receiver...
Wayne Hunter: I’m here to stay

Wayne Hunter was forthcoming about his shortcomings last season, but at the end of the day: he’s still the Jets right tackle.
According to Hunter, the Jets made it clear that he’s the starter -- and that was all the assurance he needed heading into this season.
“As far as my role, I’m the starting right tackle, that’s as simple as it is,” he said, following Thursday’s offseason...
Sanchez, Tebow all smiles for media

Mark Sanchez set the record straight -- yet again -- for football fans anticipating an unworkable relationship developing between him and Tim Tebow.
He is the starter. Tebow is the back-up quarterback. And they’re becoming fast friends.
That basically was the gist of Sanchez’s spiel after Thursday’s offseason conditioning workout.
“It’s been nothing but positive to this point and...
Revis is here today, but won't make any promises for training camp

Darrelle Revis was at the Jets’ training facility today taking part in the offseason workouts. That’s the good sign. The bad sign? That he would not commit to being in Cortland for the start of training camp in July under his current contract.
“I can’t sit here and answer that question,” Revis said when asked if he will hold out, as he did before the 2010 season. “Right now I’m here and I’m...
