Even with Mark Sanchez sitting on the injured reserve list, the Jets’ quarterback situation still is an open question unless rookie starter Geno Smith gets a grip on the turnover situation. Smith has been responsible for 11 turnovers through four games, including eight interceptions.
The quarterback competition in training camp only was resolved by the shoulder injury to Sanchez, not by their...Read more »
For the second straight day, Stephen Hill was on the practice field. But this time, the Jets second-year wideout was wearing a red non-contact pinnie and shells.
It’s a step in the right direction for Hill, who suffered a concussion in the first quarter of Sunday’s game in Tennessee. With Santonio Holmes (hamstring) expected to be ruled out for Monday night’s game in Atlanta, the Jets and...Read more »
One day after complaining about getting only one pass reception in the Jets’ loss at Tennessee, wide receiver Santonio Holmes took to Twitter to suggest his comments were misinterpreted by that ever-present enemy: the New York-New Jersey media.
For the record, Holmes said on Thursday, “I can’t throw it to myself and catch it, otherwise I would.” Given a chance to express his thoughts on rookie...Read more »
As the cameras descended upon Quinton Coples, the Jets outside linebacker flashed his boyish grin.
“I got a letter,” he said, confirming that he had been fined by the NFL for his joint hit on Titans quarterback Jake Locker last week. “The league felt like it was a personal foul or inappropriate hit. But one thing about it, it’s up for debate. So I’m going to appeal it and we’ll go forward...Read more »

Obomanu -- who was cut and then re-signed on Sept. 10 -- was flagged three times...Read more »
