Bart Scott said this week on ShowTime's "Inside the NFL" that he was scheduled to undergo to surgery today.

This morning, his wife Starr tweeted about his scheduled surgery and posted a photo of Scott in recovery.

"Everyone please say a prayer 4 my husband he is going in 4 surgery shortly Thank u!" she tweeted.

About five hours later, she Starr Scott posted "Bart's in recovery now thanks 4 the prayers!" and this photo of the veteran linebacker.

Scott's streak of a 119 consecutive games was snapped this season due to his hyperextended toe -- an injury he suffered during the Jets' Week 3-win in Miami. Scott finished the season with 60 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
