CORTLAND -- Joe McKnight finally spoke to the media for the first time in two weeks.

And he said absolutely nothing.

The Jets running back/kick returner, who sported a red non-contact jersey Sunday, along with fullback Lex Hilliard (ribs) -- was asked 17 different questions after practice. And he answered just about all of them the same way.

"I'm not getting into that right now," he said repeatedly, as he stood beside a Jets PR staff member.

McKnight refused to comment on his recent arrest for outstanding traffic warrants, how/when he suffered a head injury,  whether he needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist (per the league's concussion protocol) and when he expects to be cleared for practice.

The only thing McKnight would say is that he meets daily with the Jets medical/training staff.

"I’m not getting into that right now, man," he said, when asked about his health for the first time. "But I feel good to be back out on the field."

Here's just an excerpt of our back-and-forth with McKnight:

...Do you know when you’ll be cleared to be full go?
"Like I said, I’m not getting into that right now. I’m going to wait until the doctors tell me I’m cleared. It feels good to be back on the field."

...Has it been tough to be on the sideline, Joe, and watching?
"It’s been tough, but just happy to be on the field with my team."

...Did you go through a period of time when you felt out of it or woozy?
"Hey, I’m not getting into that right now."

...How did you get hurt?
"I’m not getting into that right now."

...Did you have to be cleared by an independent doctor to be out here?"
"I’m not getting into that right now."

...Do you anticipate playing on Saturday?
"I’m not getting into that right now."

...What can you talk about? What do you want to talk about?
"{Death stare, followed by silence}"
