Nothing but Jets

Money is no object -- and apparently no obstacle for Santonio Holmes.
The Jets No. 1 receiver said Wednesday that he’s willing to take a pay cut in order to remain with the team for “the next couple of years.”
Holmes, who agreed to restructure his contract this past offseason, said he wouldn’t be opposed to taking a pay cut next season, if that’s what management wants.

Jeremy Kerley appeared to be pleading his case on the field hours before kickoff. But the slot receiver didn't get his way.
Kerley -- who dislocated his left elbow two weeks ago -- is one of seven inactive players for Sunday's must-win game against the Dolphins. Here's the good news for the Jets: Santonio Holmes and Antonio Cromartie will both play.
On Friday, Rex Ryan said he was "concerned"...Read more »
Santonio Holmes has been so focused on his own production over the years, he hasn’t had time to watch other offensive stars. Literally.
Asked for an assessment of fellow wideout A.J. Green -- whom the Jets will try to stop Sunday in Cincinnati -- Holmes matter-of-factly replied: “I don’t watch any offensive guys in the NFL at all.”
Really? Like, not even occasionally as a football fan?
“No,”...Read more »
As expected, Antonio Cromartie will be active against the Steelers Sunday.
The Jets cornerback was questionable for the game on Friday, a day after he hyperextended his right knee in practice. Hours before kickoff, Cromartie, donning pink cleats for Breast Cancer Awareness month, did some light running and cutting on the field.

Barring a setback, it appears Stephen Hill (concussion) will face the Falcons.
The Jets receiver reportedly practiced Saturday without his red non-contact pinnie and is listed as probable for the Jets Monday Night Football game against the Falcons.
As expected, veteran receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) is out. So, too, are rookie cornerback Dee Milliner (hamstring) and rookie left...Read more »
One day after complaining about getting only one pass reception in the Jets’ loss at Tennessee, wide receiver Santonio Holmes took to Twitter to suggest his comments were misinterpreted by that ever-present enemy: the New York-New Jersey media.
For the record, Holmes said on Thursday, “I can’t throw it to myself and catch it, otherwise I would.” Given a chance to express his thoughts on rookie...Read more »
Stephen Hill was on the practice field Thursday, wearing a Jets baseball camp and shorts as he stretched alongside his teammates.
The rest of the team, however, was in full pads.
Hill, who suffered a concussion in last week’s loss to Tennessee, was not on the field for Monday's practice. But after today's warm-up period was over, he made his way to the rehab area. With an extra day to...Read more »
Don’t expect to see Santonio Holmes on the field for a while.
The veteran wide receiver is expected to miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury, a source told Newsday. Holmes was injured in Sunday’s loss in Tennessee – as was second-year wideout Stephen Hill, who suffered a concussion on the second play of the game.
To shore up their depleted receiving corps, the Jets plan to sign former...Read more »
Rex Ryan confirmed Stephen Hill suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Titans.
The second-year receiver -- who was injured on the second play of the game -- is currently undergoing the league-mandated concussion protocol.
It's too soon to tell if Hill will be medically cleared in time for the Jets Monday Night game in Atlanta.
On Smith’s first pass attempt of the game,...Read more »
Jets coach Rex Ryan on Friday declared running back Chris Ivory and cornerback Dee Milliner out of Sunday's game at Tennessee because they have been unable to practice with hamstring injuries. Backup tackle Oday Aboushi (knee) joined them, but Ryan said everyone else on the roster with an injury is probable.
Outside linebacker Quinton Coples (ankle) and wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot)...Read more »
