Rex Ryan knew going into the 2014 NFL season that it was going to be his last season as head coach of the Jets, he told Andrea Kremer on Tuesday's new episode of HBO's "Real Sports."

"I knew we weren't going to have a good team when we never did anything in free agency, I knew that," Ryan said. "100 percent, I knew I was done. Yep, 100 percent."

After six seasons with the Jets, Ryan was let go by owner Woody Johnson.

He was hired as the Buffalo Bills' head coach later that offseason.
