Jets get Tebow
The Jets acquire Tebow and a 2012 seventh-round draft pick from the Denver Broncos in exchange for a 2012 fourth- and sixth-round draft pick. The deal nearly fell through when the Jets learned they also had to pay the Broncos $5 million because of a clause in Tebow’s contract. The Jets ended up paying the Broncos $2.5 million after negotiating.
