Plenty of buzz yesterday with the ESPN report that the Raiders are the leading suitors in a potential trade for Iggles quarterback Donovan McNabb (pictured).

But Steve Corkran of the Oakland Tribune cites two Raiders sources denying that any talks have taken place with the Iggles.

Of course, that doesn't mean a trade with Oakland wouldn't necessarily materialize, because it's standard operating procedure for teams to pooh-pooh these things, only to pull the trigger on a deal down the road.

"Two Raiders employees remain steadfast that the Raiders haven't even spoken with the Eagles about McNabb, who is in the final year of his contract," Corkran writes.

To this, we add only two words to add context to the situation: stay tuned.
