Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess was doing a radio interview with Jorge Sedano on 790 The Ticket in Miami while driving this morning, and saw a horrific accident.

He witnessed a truck swerve and then flip over three times as he was doing his interview, which he then cut short to call 911. Audio from the segment can be heard here.

Bess (pictured) said he called the authorities and stayed at the scene until the man got out of his truck and walked around.

"I saw he got out of the truck and was walking and saw he was cool," Bess told the Miami Herald. "There were a lot of other people there too to make sure everything was O.K."

Bess apologized before hanging up on Sedano, and called him right back when he saw everything was alright with the man. Bess was on his way to the Dolphins' practice facility.

The third-year receiver, who we hope was on a hands-free phone, is a solid up-and-coming player, who should pair nicely as a slot guy with new standout Brandon Marshall. Last year, Bess had 76 catches for 758 yards and two TDs.

He came from a troubled background, but has made the most of his second chance, as he is thriving in the NFL.
