A good day for New York kickers -- but not the best
It was a good day on Sunday for the New York players who actually put the "foot" in football.
Giants kicker Josh Brown was 5-for-5 in field goal attempts, supplying all of the Giants' 15 points during their win over the Eagles. It was the first time in Giants history the team has scored at least 15 points with all of the points a result of field goals. It was just the fourth time the team has scored at least nine points, all on field goals, and won in franchise history (1976, 2000, 2002 are the other years this happened).

All told, New York kickers combined for eight field goals on Sunday.
Pretty good. But not the best total.
That honor goes to Oct. 18, 1981 when Giants and Jets kickers combined for 10 field goals to set the obscure record for most field goals kicked by New York kickers on a single day.
Joe Danelo was 6-for-6 in attempts during a 32-0 win over Seattle for the Giants that day, setting a Giants record for most field goals in a game in the process. The same day, the Jets' Pat Leahy was 4-for-4 during a 33-14 win over Buffalo.
