Denver Broncos: From 4-0 to the Super Bowl?
The Broncos are off to a dominating 4-0 start, with Peyton Manning at the top of his game at age 37. But Broncos coach John Fox isn't content just yet, offering a hint of what he’s really thinking when he talks about his team this way: "If we can just keep getting better and better, that's the goal. We want to be playing our best football in February."
Only one NFL game in February. It's at MetLife Stadium: Super Bowl XLVIII.
Still a long way to go, but you have to like what you've seen from Denver so far. The Broncos lead the NFL with 179 points scored in four games. That’s the second-most points in a team's first four games in NFL history; only the 1966 Cowboys, with 183 points, scored more in the first month.
Denver is at the Cowboys Sunday. If the Broncos score 39 points, they’ll set the record for most points in a team's first five games. That mark is owned by the 2000 Rams (217) from the Greatest Show on Turf days of Kurt Warner.
