Lions rookie defensive lineman Nick Fairley, the team's first-round draft pickout of Auburn last month, isn't off to a very good start in Detroit.

Three weeks before the draft, Fairley was arrested on misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession. And yesterday, he was arrested for driving under the influence and traveling at 100 mph near his home in Mobile, Ala.

Fairley is one of several Lions players to run afoul of the law in the last several months.

And it's possible he may miss some time this season if NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decides to level a suspension.
