Percy Harvin to the Seahawks
The Vikings have reached an agreement with the Seahawks to trade disgruntled wide receiver Percy Harvin. The deal is expected to be announced on Tuesday when the NFL trading period begins.
Per Jay Glazer of Foxsports, the Seahawks will give up their first-round pick (25th overall) to the Vikings, as well as a seventh-round pick this year and a mid-round choice in 2014.
The deal also means that Harvin, who was set to enter the 2013 season on the final year of his rookie contract, will get a new deal that could pay him as much as $10 million per season.
Harvin gives the Seahawks another major offensive weapon on a team that already showed it can be dominant on offense. The Seahawks advanced to the NFC divisional playoffs last season before losing to the Falcons in Atlanta. The team was led by rookie quarterback Russell Wilson, who now gets a wideout whose versatility is well known to Vikings fans.
