Odell Thurman, Cincinnati Bengals
Thurman was suspended for the 2006 season after a drunken driving charge. In 2007, after getting treatment for alcohol related problems, he applied for reinstatement into the NFL, but was denied because he was wanted in Georgia for assault. He was reinstated in 2008, but was suspended again though it is not clear why. He has since started playing in the AFL for the Florida Tuskers.(Credit: AP file photo)

NFL players behaving badly

Since the NFL's personal conduct policy came into effect in 2006, 16 players have been suspended by commissioner Roger Goodell. Jets receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested on Sept. 20 and charged with three counts of drunken/impaired driving, but has not yet been suspended.
