SUPER BOWL XLVIII: SEATTLE 43, DENVER 8
MetLife Stadium
East Rutherford, N.J.
February 2, 2014
MVP: Malcolm Smith, LB - Seahawks
Super Bowl XLVIII was billed as a battle of offense vs. defense -- the Broncos came into the game with the top-ranked offense, while the Seahawks had the top-ranked defense. The Seahawks were in control all game long, at one point opening a 36-0 lead. Peyton Manning, fresh off a record-setting regular season, threw two interceptions --with one returned 69 yards for a touchdown by Malcolm Smith -- and lost a fumble as the Broncos turned the ball over four times.(Credit: Newsday / J.
