The final round of the Long Island Golf Association’s Inaugural Michael Hebron Championship is underway at Bethpage Black. It is one of the LIGA’s big events, having replaced the Long Island Public Links and expanded it to include amateurs from all clubs on the Island.

It is named for Hebron, the director of golf at Smithtown Landing and a renowned teacher, author and lecturer. He donated the championship trophy in honor of his mom.
