Tiger Woods said this afternoon that he "learned his lesson" about coming back from injuries before he feels 100 percent, so he has set no timetable for his next appearance on a golf course. Kyle Brey, 15, of Farmingdale is the youngest entrant in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, which begins today at Bandon Dunes Resort in Bandon Dunes, Oregon. Brey shot 1-under par through 36 holes on Bethpage Blue last month and was the medalist of the sectional qualifier....Read more »
Erik Compton, who has endured two heart transplants and kept his golf career going, won on the Nationwide Tour Sunday and looks like a cinch to earn his PGA Tour card. An amazing story of perseverance tied to talent.
