Phil comes out early to see the Big Three

Every one of the fabled Big Three was impressed. As they hit their honorary tee shots to begin the Masters, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player noticed that one of the many spectators out there to watch them was Phil Mickelson, wearing his champions green jacket—six hours before his own tee time.

Gary Player to join Arnie, Jack as Masters Honorary Starter

       In the 1960s, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player dominated golf's majors and were seen as such a powerful group that they appeared in a regular TV series, "Big Three Golf." Well, now the Big Three will be revived in a formal way. Player will be one of the honorary starters at the Masters, starting in 2012, joining Palmer and Nicklaus.
