Scott Osler of Cutchogue, who last week tied for the last qualifying spot in a U.S. Open qualifier but had to miss a playoff because of a business commitment, was the co-medalist today in a qualifyier for the Ike Championship. He shot 3-under par 68 at his home course, North Fork Country Club, to advance. He tied with Hunter Semels of North Hempstead.

           The Ike is a stroke-play event run by the Metropolitan Golf Association and is considered one of the great amateur championships around.
