      Tiger Woods lost ground on No. 5, a short par 4 that really is a birdie hole. He didn't go for the green with his tee shot but his layup wedge spun back and he had a long putt, which he missed. Then he went up and jabbed his 21-inch par putt. And missed that. He had to make a 3-footer for bogey, which really was like a double bogey.

        So he's in a three-way tie for third (with defending champ Heath Slocum and Stewart Cink) behind John Senden (-8) and Kevin Streelman (-7).
