Holy Trinity lefthander Alex Robinson was named the New York Gatorade Player of the Year. The Maryland-bound senior helped lead the Titans to the NSCHSAA championship.

Robinson won Game 1 of the best-of-three series against St. Anthony's. He went the distance and allowed two hits, one earned run, two walks and struck out nine.

Robinson went 7-0 with a 0.41 ERA in 51 innings. He allowed 14 hits, walked 22 and struck out 109. He was also named the CHSAA Pitcher of the Year.

"He performs best in the biggest games," Holy Trinity coach Bob Malandro said. "He doesn't feel any pressure."
