It is only April, but it felt like a playoff game between Wantagh and Plainedge this afternoon. It was an exciting game between two of the top teams in Nassau Class A and Wantagh eked out a 5-4 win on the road. Wantagh defeated Kings Park, 9-2, in the Long Island Class A championship. Wantagh will play in the state semifinals on Saturday in Binghamton. Matt Dybus went the distance and allowed five hits, walked one and struck out five. Ryan Sliwak hit a three-run triple to give Wantagh a 4-2 lead.
