MATT CROHAN
Long Island Player of the Year, First baseman/Pitcher, Riverhead
Crohan won the 46th Annual Carl Yastrzemski Award, as Suffolk's top player. The 6-2, 195-pounder was the first Riverhead player to win the award after compiling a 6-1 record with 104 strikeouts and an 0.64 ERA. He threw back-to-back no-hitters against East Islip and Centereach and extended his streak of hitless innings to 19 before allowing a hit against Copiague. |(Credit: James Escher)
