1. SACHEM EAST FIELD HOCKEY

The Flaming Arrows are 16-0 and goalie Jordan Miller has 10 shutouts. Sachem East, having already secured the top seed in Suffolk Class A, shut out Ward Melville, 2-0, in the regular-season finale. Katie Trombetta and Karyn Ryan scored in the win.

Linebacker Simon Jones had three interceptions, including one he returned 44 yards for a touchdown, and nine tackles in a 34-7 win over Floral Park. Joe Capobianco threw for three more scores and now has 26 TD passes this season. The top-ranked Golden Tornadoes are 8-0 with an-LI best 394 points.

3. BRENTWOOD BOYS SOCCER

The Indians capped an undefeated regular season with a 2-0 win over Ward Melville and a 4-0 win over Commack to finish 16-0. They are the top seed in the Suffolk Class AA playoffs and go for their fifth consecutive Suffolk title. Brentwood is No. 3 in the country in the NSCAA rankings.

4. SAYVILLE FOOTBALL

The Golden Flashes completed an 8-0 run through Suffolk III with a 35-7 win over Deer Park. Zach Sirico completed 8 of 9 passes for 180 yards and two scores. The Golden Flashes extended Long Island's longest win streak at 20.

5. SOUTH SIDE GIRLS SOCCER

The defending Class A state champions are 13-0-1 and enter the playoffs ranked sixth in the country by the NSCAA. The run for a 17th state title began with a 6-0 win over Mineola in the first round behind Christina Klaum's two goals and Liz Lang's first varsity goal.

6. SYOSSET GIRLS TENNIS

Syosset (16-0) earned a lasting spot in the Big 10, winning its fourth consecutive Nassau Championship by beating Port Washington, 5-2, Oct. 17. The Braves now await the winner of the Suffolk championship and will compete for their fourth consecutive Long Island championship Oct. 30.

7. NORTHPORT BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The Tigers took home both the Division I crown and the overall Suffolk title at Sunken Meadow. Mike Brannigan won the 5K in a personal-best 15:56.3.

8. JERICHO BADMINTON

Jericho wrapped up its second consecutive 14-0 regular season and fourth straight Nassau team title. Second singles player Pritak Patel and third singles player Ian Hu won county titles at the individual championships at Bellmore JFK.

9. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS SOCCER

The Friars went unbeaten in CHSAA play after defeating St. Dominic, 1-0, and playing Chaminade to a scoreless tie. The Friars are the top seed in the CHSAA playoffs with a 14-0-2 record.

10. NORTHPORT GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Brigid Brennan took fifth place in 19:28.4 to lead the Tigers to both the Division I and overall Suffolk championship at Sunken Meadow.
