Growing up in Stony Brook, it was always a duty of mine each morning to read the Newsday sports section in regards to all my favorite pro, collegiate and high school sports teams. I graduated from Ward Melville High School (2000) and SUNY Cortland (2004).
I worked for three years covering high school and community sports as an editor for The Smithtown News, before moving on to the Sun-Sentinel covering high school varsity sports as a daily reporter from 2007-2012. I also served as the sports editor of the Forum Publishing Group, Inc., a subsidiary of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel (2008-2012).

Melissa Bischoff, Kylie Danin, Aileen Fitzpatrick and LeeAnn Santore don't take it for granted that each is a member of the St. Anthony's girls swimming program.
"They know how special it is to be on this team," Friars coach Dan McBride said. "Not everyone gets a chance to wear the black and gold."
