Records fell like autumn leaves in Friday’s Long Island Class IV championship game, won by Babylon, 27-26.

-- Babylon broke the Suffolk County single-season scoring record of 500 points set by St. Anthony’s in 2003 on Jake Carlock’s 10-yard TD reception with 5:37 left in the third quarter. They finished with 510 points in 12 games.

Long Island Lutheran’s Boogie Brozoski and North Babylon’s Brianna Jones have survived three rounds of cuts at the USA Women's Basketball U16 Team Trials, and remain in contention to make the final 12-player roster that will represent the U.S. at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships in Cancun, Mexico from June 19-23.
