Nine former Long Island high school stars were named Division I All-Americans, and five received first-team honors, as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced its honorees this week.

Long Island will be well represented in the ninth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic this summer, which features the nation’s best senior players.

Eight boys and seven girls from the Island were named Monday as 2014 Under Armour All-Americans.

Huntington scored 231 goals this season.

Katie Reilly had a direct hand in over half of them.

The field is set for this season’s Suffolk girls lacrosse tournaments.

Undefeated West Islip earned the top seed in Class A after finishing the league season 14-0.

Dale Cosgrave has established herself as a key contributor on Bay Shore girls lacrosse.

The senior attacker's on-field accomplishments this season—17 goals and 16 assists—look even more impressive when considering Cosgrave has Type 1 diabetes.
