Freshman
The freshman, already a two-time All-County selection, led all L.I. girls with a 215.2 average. On Dec. 10, she became the first Suffolk girl to roll a 300 game in league play and her 801 series that day was the second highest in county history. She rolled her second perfect game on Jan. 4. Sorrentino, who was among the league leaders with a 197 average as an eighth-grader, shot a 1,225 series in helping lead East Islip to second place in the county tournament.
