Albany was awarded a second consecutive three-year term as host city for the state Federation boys and girls basketball tournaments, officially known as the Basketball Tournament of Champions.

The Times Union Center will host this year's event, which features 12 boys teams and 10 girls teams, on March 22-24, in the final year of the previous three-year deal.

Glens Falls, which hosted the Federation tournament from 1981 until 2010 at the Glens Falls Civic Center, submitted the only other bid for the next three-year term, which runs until March 2016.

Glens Falls remains the host city for the state boys basketball public school tournament, being held this year on March 15-17.
