High school basketball: New Rochelle falls to Bishop Kearney in Class AA final
GLENS FALLS - New Rochelle's dream season ended on a sour note Sunday, as the Huguenots fell to Bishop Kearney 45-39 in the Class AA final at the New York State Boys High School Basketball Championships.
Bishop Kearney's Thomas Bryant, the tournament MVP, had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Chinonso Obokoh added 13 rebounds and eight blocks for the Kings (17-7), and Antwoine Anderson scored 14.

Joe Clarke scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for New Rochelle (16-10).
Bishop Kearney took a 29-18 lead into the break. New Rochelle whittled the deficit to three but never got any closer in the second half, hampered by 24 percent shooting from the field.
The Kings, meanwhile, shot 46 percent.
New Rochelle got to the final with a 60-46 win over Northport in Saturday's semifinal round.
Bishop Kearney, out of Monroe County in Section 5, reached the championship with a 65-58 overtime victory against Troy in the semis.
