Here is Week 2 of 10 Players to Watch in Nassau. Again, the list is in alphabetical order.

Paris Abrams, Westbury, Sr. – Part of a talented crew of Westbury guard/forwards. He had a game-high 23 points in a 74-71 overtime loss to Elmont. His three-point shooting ability makes him capable of similar high-scoring games every time out.

Bolade Akingboye, Uniondale, Sr. – Scored 12 points in a win over Hempstead, 14 points and 10 rebounds in a victory against Port Washington, and 12 and 13 against Carey.

Mike Bonomo, Oceanside, Sr. – The 6-4 small forward led the Sailors (9-1) with 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 54-39 win over Herricks. He had 18 and 10 in an OT win at Long Beach.

Goey Charles, Uniondale, Sr. – Led the Knights (9-2) in scoring with 15 points in the Hempstead win and 18 in the Port Washington victory.

Dominique Aberdeen, Baldwin, Sr. -- The first-year starter led the Bruins with 14 points, five assists and five rebounds against Farmingdale.

Jamel Flash, West Hempstead, Sr. -- The 6-11 center averaged 19 points in losses to Elmont and Floral Park.

Chauvaughn Lewis, St. Mary’s, Jr. -- Lewis was limited to eight points in St. Mary’s double OT loss to St. John’s, but had 16 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Stepinac. The Gaels are 9-5.

Leon Taylor, South Side, Sr. -- The quick 5-11 combo guard had 26 points in a win over Hewlett. He was held relatively in check with 11 points against Westbury.

Dean Walker, Elmont, Sr. – The shooting guard led the unbeaten Spartans to three wins against Hewlett, West Hempstead and Westbury. He had 14, 21 and 21 points in the games, respectively.

Achraf Yacoubou, Long Island Lutheran, Jr. -- The 6-5 junior stepped up with point guard Mike Florin sidelined with an ankle injury. Yacoubou scored a season-high 37poitns in a triple OT win over Thomas Edison.
