Here is this week’s report on the Top 10 players for the annual Sandler Award presented to most outstanding player in Suffolk. Since it’s still early, I’m spreading the wealth, picking 10 players from 10 different teams. That means Darien Davis of Longwood and Tavon Sledge of Hills West, worthy candidates for sure, remain on the bubble – for now – on this alphabetical list. A reminder: This list is just one man’s opinion and is unofficial. Newsday does not participate in the voting for all-league and all-county teams.

Tajric Boggs, Longwood: Part of a devastating backcourt duo with Darien Davis that has the Lions undefeated and scoring nearly 86 points a game, best on Long Island.

Darien Croft, Amityville: Dynamic guard had 32, including six treys and the game-winning up-and-under layup with 2.1 seconds left in thrilling 62-61 victory over Glenn on Saturday.

Connor Fedge, Bellport: Scored 20 points in 63-62 loss to Copiague last Thursday.

Nick Galasso, West Islip: Scored 27 points in last Thursday’s loss to East Islip.

Khaleev Ginyard, St. John the Baptist: Had 21 points and four assists in the Cougars’ 59-52 victory over St. Anthony’s on Friday, their first win at the Friars’ gym in 22 years.

Tobias Harris, Hills West: Scored only 10 points in the Colts’ victory last Thursday over Deer Park, as the Falcons triple-teamed the Tennessee-bound star allowing his brother Tyler to score a career-high 23.

Dantre Langhorne, Greenport: Scored 39 points in two easy victories and obviously could’ve had more points if the Porters needed them.

Matt McLeod, Harborfields: Had 17 points, 11 assists and 10 steals, his second triple-double of the season, in a victory over Islip last Thursday.

Kamil Parzych, Lindenhurst: Scored 20 points, had six assists and eight rebounds in victory over Connetquot last Friday.
