Michelle Obama to attend fundraiser in Pocantico Hills
First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to attend a private fundraiser for her husband's presidential re-election campaign and the Democratic Party Sunday at the Blue Hill at Stone Farms restaurant in Pocantico Hills.
Details of the visit were being kept secret, but an invitation sent to supporters by the Obama for America campaign said tickets for the event will range from $1,500 to $25,000 for VIP seats. The event starts at 11 a.m., according to the invite.
The White House press office declined to comment on the First Lady’s visit.
Obama visited Stone Farms in 2010 during a visit by United Nations representatives, who used the 80-acre former cattle farm nestled within the Rockefeller family estate as a backdrop for a series of meetings on organic farming.
The First Lady has become a central player in her husband’s re-election campaign, and Sunday's visit is one of numerous aimed at drumming up money and galvanizing supporters ahead of the Nov. 6 presidential election.
