Twelve Long Island boys players have been selected by US Lacrosse to compete in the 2012 Champion® All-American Showcase, a US Lacrosse event. The boys’ and girls’ showcases will be held as part of the ESPNHS Games, July 22-27 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Cold Spring Harbor repeats as Nassau Class C champs

Cold Spring Harbor repeated as Nassau Class C champions behind a balanced offensive attack. Sean Doyle (above) had two goals and three assists, Danny Simonetti had three goals and two assists, Allen Winkoff had three goals and an assist and Kevin Porzelt had three goals for the Seahawks (14-3).

10 boys named Under Armour All-Americans

The rosters for the the seventh annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic were released this morning. Ten players from Long Island made the boys North team, including three from No. 1 nationally ranked Garden City. The full rosters for the senior squads can be found here.

Here is a list of the All Americans from Long Island, as selected by United States Lacrosse. In all, 203 players were recognized as Regional All Americans. 

Later this month, a second and third group will be announced, and after that, 24 players will be named first team National All Americans and 24 will be selected to the second team.

Twelve of the 22 players selected for the Under Armour All American North Team are from Long Island.

Of the 12, five are from Suffolk, three from Nassau and four play in the CHSAA (two from Chaminade, two from St. Anthony's). There are four defenders, four middies, two attacks and two goalies.
