The Hudson Valley Renegades begin their 20th season Monday night, hoping to build on the momentum of a 2012 New York-Penn League championship.

When John Jay-Cross River started its season with a 3-4 record, the Indians didn't exactly look like a state championship-caliber team.
But John Jay turned things around and now finds itself just two wins away from capturing a state title.

Lt. Col. Dave Borowicz, an assistant coach and a former standout pitcher at Army, was deployed to Afghanistan earlier this month.
