MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- The Jericho boys soccer team won its second straight Class A State Championship by defeating Port Chester, 2-1, at Middletown High School on Sunday. Jericho finishes the season 20-1-1.

Jericho took an early 1-0 lead when senior Zach Cohen scored off a rebound in the second minute. Less than 10 minutes later, the Jayhawks struck again as Ajani Motta scored what would turn out to be the winning goal off a rebound in the 11th minute. Port Chester responded three minutes later when Bryan Suertegaray scored off a corner kick from Alexis Valdovinos.
