Half Hollow Hills West went into the postseason last season on a roll without a loss and scoring a ton of goals. But the top-seeded Colts, who went 16-1, lost in the Suffolk Class AA quarterfinals.

The Colts bolstered the non-league schedule and open the season against Commack, who is one of the best teams on Long Island. This is certainly a game to watch and a great way for the Colts to see where they measure up early.

The Colts will certainly have no problem scoring goals again. Maryland-bound senior forward Donovan Fraser had 17 goals and 16 assistslast season and 31 goals and 45 assists for his career.

Junior midfielder Brett Nason, a three-year starter, had three goals and 18 assists as a sophomore and sophomore forward Dylan Greenberg had 10 goals and 15 assists as a freshman and is a major Division I recruit.

The Colts are the five-time defending League IV champions and have a 29-game regular season winning streak. The Colts return 21 players, including seven starters.
