Port Jeff state soccer updates

We'll be updating live from Port Jefferson's state soccer semifinal against Lansing at Middletown High School.

Second Half

16:30 left - Still 1-0 Port Jeff and another good look for Bohlen earlier in the half has been PJ's only real scoring opportunity. Both sides had penalty kicks in the last few minutes, and Lansing's was a real threat, but Gabe Davis was able to corrall the kick and keep Lansing scoreless.

First Half

23:30 left - Blake Bohlen had the best scoring opportunity of the game so far, executing a 360 degree turn about ten yards out to buck several defenders and take a shot on goal. But Lansing's keeper made the save to keep things scoreless.

10:49 left - Bohlen breaks through with a goal to give Port Jeff a 1-0 lead. The Royals have so far looked much better on their goal scoring looks than Lansing, and it's no surprise to see Bohlen leading the way.

Halftime - Port Jeff still leads 1-0 and continued to pressure Lansing in the waning minutes of the first half. Lansing nearly scored with about two minutes to play, but the shot went wide left of the goal.
