Southampton has had success the last few seasons. With three consecutive playoff appearances and two trips to the finals, the Mariners have done well. They hope this year could be the one where they win the Suffolk Class B championship.

Mattituck, the defending champions, graduated 13 players, and Center Moriches graduated 16 players and every starter except one. Meanwhile, the Mariners lost just one player.

Senior midfielder Matias Ruiz scored 14 goals last season and has 42 for his career. He is the playmaker for the Mariners. Senior defender Marcelo Carvaho was second on the team in goals and dominates with his speed. Senior goalkeeper Ben Moritz and senior forward Jorge Rojas will also play key roles.
