Roundup: Saavedra leads Sachem East to cross country title
Alex Saavedra placed third in the 5k in a time of 16:28 as Sachem East captured the Division I championship at the Suffolk Division championships with 88 points at Sunken Meadow Park Tuesday.
Sachem East was also the overall winner, finishing four points ahead of Bayport-Blue Point (Division IV). Joe DiRienzo finished in seventh place with a time of 17:06, and Matt Fritze was 12th (17:19)...
