When Alex Harwood could no longer lunge to victory, he hunched.
The Brentwood foil had secured himself part of a three-way tie for first at the Suffolk County individual fencing championships at Half Hollow Hills East, but injured his left foot defeating Ward Melville's Jay Petrie IV in the first bout of the barrage.
