Hauppauge star Justin Plaschka headlines the Long Island contingent in the boys swimming state championships this weekend at Webster-Schroeder High School in Webster, NY.

Wantagh eighth-grader Andrew Capobianco won his second straight Nassau diving championship on Wednesday with an 11-dive score of 510.20. In addition to becoming the first seventh-grader to win the diving title last year, he is now the first eighth-grader to win it.

West Islip diver Patrick Carter won the Suffolk Diving Invitational on Dec. 15 and, in doing so, earned himself a berth to the state championships.
