One of the best performances of the 2011 high school football season stayed under the radar. It happened on Friday night, Oct. 28, when Donald Liotine rushed for 340 yards on just 15 carries, with six touchdowns, as Stony Brook defeated host Southampton, 40-12.

In averaging nearly 23 yards per carry, Liotine turned in the 20th best single-game rushing total in Suffolk County history. Jason Gwaltney of North Babylon remains on top with his 467-yard effort against East Islip in 2003.

Liotine returns for his senior year at The Stony Brook School, and is one of the players to keep an eye on in Suffolk Division IV.
