Hewlett offensive guard/defensive end Niv Sultan has been selected as the Jules D. Mazor Outstanding Jewish High School Scholar Athlete. The award is given to the most deserving Jewish male in the nation.

Tom Joyce, the Thorp Award winner from MacArthur, has committed to play for Sacred Heart next season. The 5-11, 200-pound linebacker made 104 tackles with four sacks and two forced fumbles for the Generals this past season.
He also ran for 456 yards and eight touchdowns as a fullback for the Generals (5-4), whose season ended with a 24-22 loss to Farmingdale in the Conference I quarterfinals.

Joey Sunshine is back!
Joe Sidaras, the former All-Long Island quarterback from Floyd who went to Hofstra on a scholarship but declined to transfer after the university dropped football, has been awarded a full scholarship to Wagner and began classes at the Staten Island college this week.
