Jones sparks Roosevelt's 22-point fourth

Manny Jones' two-yard touchdown run gave Roosevelt the lead and sparked a 22-point fourth quarter as the Rough Riders beat Mineola, 35-18, Saturday. Mineola (2-2) led 18-13 after the third quarter. Erin Parker (14 carries, 227 yards, three TDs) had a four-yard TD run in the fourth quarter and Jones added another TD on a 52-yard run to cap the scoring for Roosevelt (4-0). Teddy Santana and Parker each had interceptions in the fourth quarter. Jones had 15 tackles and Khalil Wilson had 12.Seaford 30, Clarke 14: Joe Richards had 22 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns and Alex Rodriguez added 20 rushes for 101 yards and a touchdown to lead Seaford (2-2) over Clarke (1-3). Tyler O'Donnell connected with Brian Gilbert for a 49-yard touchdown pass to put Seaford ahead 20-8 with two minutes left in the second quarter. Joe Richards had 11 tackles, one sack and an interception. James O'Hagan added nine tackles and a sack.Valley Stream North 34, Malverne 13: Evan Henry ran for 224 yards and three TDs and had 58 yards receiving and another score to lead Valley Stream North (3-1) over Malverne (2-2). With the score tied at 7 in the second quarter, Henry's 10-yard TD run gave the Spartans a lead they didn't relinquish. Anthony Martelli's 13-yard TD gave Valley Stream North a 28-13 halftime lead. Defensive end Joe White had nine tackles and two sacks, linebacker Nick Gonzalez made nine tackles, and Steven Guiuliante had an interception.
